Meet the Teacher
Hello! My name is Mrs. Melissa Bilow. I earned my Bachelors Degree in Childhood Education and my Masters Degree in Special Education. I spent many years working as a Teaching Assistant, then a Resource Room/Consultant Teacher for grades K-2, and I am now beginning my 5th year teaching Second grade.
I have two beautiful daughters and they are both unique individuals. Their personalities are contrasting (tomboy vs. girly girl) and the way they learn is different. They help me realize how each child is different and that we need to embrace those differences to create a world that is safe and filled with caring individuals.
My oldest daughter, Felicity just started her first year at Clarkson University. My youngest daughter, Abbigail (11th grade) attends BMC and participates in Cheerleading and Chorus and anything music related. You will often see me at sporting events and after school activities.
When I'm not spending time at school I love to read, scrapbook, cross-stich, camp and spend time with my family and friends.
